Symptom

  • Error 00278: "Make an entry in mandatory field 'Plant Section'" appears when creating or changing equipment (ie01/ie02).
  • The field requirement is not defined in customizing under Field Selection for Functional Location (Common Fields for Equip./FL).
  • "Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
