3756931 - Can BTP Audit Log custom retention period be changed once it get configured?

Following guide Audit Log Retention for the Cloud Foundry Environment raised BC-CP-CF-SEC-AUDITLG to have custom retention period configured such as 1 year. 
Due to security policy change, need to either extend or shorten the configured custom retention period. But not sure if it can be changed. If can be changed, what's the impact to existing audit log.
