3757056 - PY IN: Gratuity exemption /4e8 is generating incorrectly in the payroll

Symptom

  • During India payroll processing, wage type /4E8 (gratuity exemption) is calculated lower than the expected standard exemption amount.
  • Expected amount based on average salary (/129) multiplied by 15 days per year of service and divided by 26 indicates a higher exemption than what is calculated.
  • No relevant system error messages are displayed.
