3757327 - How to add revaluation depreciation area to an existing asset in S/4HANA

Symptom

  • Revaluation cannot be processed for already created assets because revaluation area is not maintained.
  • Running program RAFAB_COPY_AREA to add revaluation area returns error AU008 “Depreciation area xx, which you want to create as a new depreciation area in the chart of depreciation, has no depreciation area defined for value takeover.” correctly
  • In configuration transaction OABC, the value takeover field for depreciation area xx is not editable.
