3757611 - Custom field for Allowance type benefit in latest experience - 1H 2026

Custom fields configured as complex data type such as picklist in 'Benefit Enrollment' object are shown as string for Allowance type benefit in latest experience UI.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Global Benefit

• Go to Benefits Overview > Benefits Available to Enroll
• Go to relevant benefit > Enroll
• See the custom field appearing as string which is configured as picklist

Some complex data types are currently not supported for custom fields when those fields are configured directly in the Benefit Enrollment object. However, these data types are supported when the fields are added through a custom association to the Benefit Enrollment object. 

The following data types are not supported:

• CLOB
• Data Source
• Enum
• Foundation Object
• Generic Object
• Picklist
• Translatable
• User 

Conditional fields are not supported for the custom fields added to the Benefit Enrollment object.

Product team is planning to enhance this and support the complex data types in future release, currently it is targeted for 2H 2026 and KBA will be updated once the release timeline is finalized.
