3757892 - Generic BOM copy does not create variant BOMs for all items - SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

  • When copying a Bill of Materials (BOM) from one generic material to another, the system creates only the generic BOM and does not create BOMs for its variants.
  • Variant BOMs are created only for the single line item where the cursor is defaulted (for example, 0010 or 0050).
  • The expected behavior is that the system copies the generic BOM and populates quantities to all variant BOMs for each BOM line item.
