3757900 - How to check the progress of document migration from SuccessFactors to Open Text

Symptom

  • You have completed the Integration with OpenText setup as per Setting Up Integration with OpenText
  • You have scheduled the "Document Management Service Migrate Attachments to OpenText Job" on provisioning as per documentation steps above
  • The document management Check Tool shows an entity pending migration even though migration jobs in Provisioning have completed
  • The Check Tool does not display updated progress

Resolution

The migration job "Document Management Service Migrate Attachments to OpenText Job" must run on a recurring schedule to complete all existing attachments, a single completed run does not finish the entire migration as per our Help Portal documentation Migrating Existing Attachments to OpenText in Provisioning:

  • For a fast migration of existing documents, the job should run as frequently as possible (every 3rd hour, for a total of 8 runs in a 24 hour period).
  • This job migrates a certain amount of files, so depending on how many files exist in the system, it will take a few days to migrate all documentation.
