• After activating Event-Based Costing, a new Settlement Rule tab appears when creating a rework order.

2. Create a rework order.
3. Observe that a Settlement Rule tab opens and the settlement rule must be entered manually.

With Event-Based Costing activation, settlement rules become mandatory for relevant scenarios.

Standard system behavior does not automatically create customer-specific settlement rules for Rework Orders without additional logic implementation.

The BAdI framework supports generation of default event-based posting rules only for supported receiver categories and requires implementation through the Custom Logic application.

For scenarios where automatic creation of settlement rules is required after Event-Based Costing activation, customers can use enhancement logic through BAdI FCO_EB_PSTRL_GNRT_DFLT_RULE.

This BAdI enables the generation of default Event-Based Posting Rules during manufacturing order creation and can be used to derive non-material settlement receivers automatically based on customer-specific business requirements.
