3758322 - Push Authentication cannot be completed through browser-only Hosted Pages flow without SAP CDC Mobile SDK integration

Symptom

When attempting to test SAP Customer Data Cloud (CDC) Push Authentication using Hosted Pages in a standard desktop or mobile browser, the authentication flow cannot be completed successfully.

Typical observations include:

  • Push notification approval is never received on the browser session
  • Authentication remains pending after triggering push authentication
  • The Hosted Pages flow does not progress after the push challenge is initiated
  • Browser-only PoC implementations cannot complete the approve/deny step
  • accounts.auth.push.send successfully triggers the challenge, but the authentication handshake is not finalized
