3758323 - "X.XXX.XXX is an invalid number format for the XXX field" Error is Encountered when System Language is Changed other than English- 1H 2026

• In Configure Object Definitions  > Employee Time, a custom field of data type Number or Decimal has been created.
• When the SF system language is in Dutch, go to Administer Time for any user who has this custom field filled for one of their absences, and click on the edit (pencil) button. You will note that the following error occurs;
• "1.234.567 is een ongeldige getalnotatie voor het veld XXX" (This translates to "1.234.567 is an invalid number format for the XXX field")

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

1. Ensure the SuccessFactors language is set to Dutch (say)
2. Go to the Administer Time page of a user.
3. Click on the edit (pencil) button of an absence request that has the custom field of data type Number or Decimal filled.
4. Note that the error, "1.234.567 is een ongeldige getalnotatie voor het veld XXX" occurs. ("1.234.567 is an invalid number format for XXX field")
5. Change the SuccessFactors language to English.
6. Click on the edit (pencil) button for the same absence.
7. See that no error occurs.

Workaround

Change the system language to English in order to edit the absence.
