Symptom
- When only the main bank account exists, fields mapped by business rules populate correctly in the document;
- When main bank and a second bank account exist, only the main bank account is mapped; the second bank account is not populated in the document;
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Configure two onboarding document templates with rule-based mappings;
- Ensure the new hire has two Payment Information entries effective on the same date;
- Generate the onboarding documents and review the mapped fields: the main bank fields populate; the second bank fields remain empty.
Cause
When multiple Payment Information entries exist, the rule-based mapping evaluates the first payment information portlet only. Subsequent entries (such as a second pay type) are not evaluated for mapping within the same context, which creates a limitation for scenarios requiring both entries to populate.
Resolution
This is Expected behavior by design.
We always suggest our customers to refer the scenario and business case in the Influence Portal, where our Product Management team will be analyzing the requests. If it is successfully voted on and approved, it can be implemented in future product releases.
