The following error is reported while running some sybctrl command in order to change user password: 

sybctrl.exe set_connect_passwd
Error: setting password for connect user failed. 

It happens for: 

  • sybctrl.exe set_connect_passwd

  • sybctrl set_sapsso_passwd
