3758562 - No Objects Selected for Processing in Controlling Area A000 During Settlement of Production Order

While attempting to settle a production order using the application "Run Settlement – Actual" or the scheduled job "Actual Settlement; Order (SAP)", the following message is displayed:
"No objects selected for processing in controlling area A000."

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, production orders typically function under the Event-Based Costing scenario. In this scenario, the system automatically settles variances and Work-In-Progress (WIP) during the posting of transactions and status changes on the production order. As a result, executing manual or period-end settlement actions such as "Run Settlement – Actual" is not required for production orders.

The system behavior is correct and in line with the Event-Based Costing process. The automatic settlement of variances and WIP eliminates the need for performing period-end settlement manually. No further action is needed.
