Yes, you can edit your Variable Pay XML to include an output for recurring pay component (componentType="payComponentRecurring") and provided it is mapped correctly, you can successfully publish the data to Employee Central.

However, the system design for Variable Pay is inherently non-recurring, so the UI (Employee Central Settings -> Publish Settings) will only display Non-Recurring pay component configuration. Recurring pay component configuration does not appear in the UI even though publishing is supported via XML.

All edits and monitoring of the recurring pay component publish settings will need to be done through provisioning or with updating the XML through Compensation Home (Upload and Update Compensation Planning XML Templates permission)
