3758876 - Unable to save inspection plan with change Numbers in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When attempting to modify an inspection plan using a change number in the application "Change Inspection Plan", the system displays error message C5023: “Changes to change rule and change type is not allowed”. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open Fiori application "Change Inspection Plan".
2. Enter the inspection plan details.
3. Select "with change number" as the "change rule".
4. Click Save.
5. The above mentioned error is encountered.

The use of engineering change requests (ECR) and engineering change orders (ECO) is no longer supported in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. As a result, change numbers are no longer available in the "Change Inspection Plan" application 

• The change record functionality has been enhanced in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to cover the previously missing complementary features.
