3759129 - Story popup content unreadable in lite viewer after quarterly update in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • Story popup window content is unreadable.
  • Issue started after the quarterly update (QRC2 2026)
  • Newly created story popup works in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.6

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Open a story that contains popups created before the quarterly update.
  3. Click any button that opens a popup.
  4. Observe that the popup content is rendered incorrectly (content compressed in a corner).

Cause

Product defect.

Resolution

  • Resolved in SAP Analytics Cloud client version 2026.8.8 and above.
      
  • Workaround:
    • The issue only occurs in the Lite Viewer.
    • To force a story to open in the Full Viewer, enable the story option: Enable Data Change Insights:

      1. Open the story in Edit mode.
      2. Go to File > Story Settings > Story Details.
      3. Turn on the option: "Enable Data Change Insights"
      4. Save the story.
