3759655 - Tax Number Category Not Visible in Value Help of the Business Partner Master Data

Symptom

After configuring the required Tax Number Categories in the configuration activity Define Tax Number Categories, the configured Tax Number Category is not visible in the value help of the Business Partner master data.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure the relevant Tax Number Categories in the configuration activity 104758 - Define Tax Number Categories.
  2. Open the Business Partner in the Maintain Business Partner app.
  3. Navigate to the Identification tab.
  4. Under the Tax Numbers section, open the value help for Tax Number Category.
  5. Observe that the relevant Tax Number Category is not available in the value help.

Cause

The Tax Number Category is configured, but it is not properly assigned, so it does not appear in the value help in the Business Partner master data.

Resolution

Maintain Tax Number Categories configuration step is used to define the types of tax numbers that can be maintained in the Business Partner master data.

Follow below steps for maintaining Tax Number Categories in Manage Your Solution' app:

  1. Open 'Manage Your Solution' app.
  2. Navigate to 'Configure Your Solution'.
  3. Choose configuration activity '102415 - Maintain Tax Number Categories'.
  4. Display & select the relevant project.
  5. Select New Entries.
  6. Add relevant Tax Number Categories for the Value Help.
  7. Save the changes.

In case while using SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) :

  1. Log on to the project experience in SAP Central Business Configuration.
  2. Select the relevant project.
  3. Navigate to the configurations activity tab. 
  4. Search for the configuration activity '102415 - Maintain Tax Number Categories'.
  5. Select the configuration activity to navigate directly to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.
  6. Select New Entries.
  7. Add relevant Tax Number Categories for the Value Help.
  8. Save the changes.
