3759657 - Error When Extending Work Order End Date "Concurrent employment for contingent workers needs to be enabled to import the record for the following person"

When updating the work order end date, an error occurs "Concurrent employment for contingent workers needs to be enabled to import the record for the following person"

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Contingent Workforce

1. Navigate to Contingent Worker's Profile
2. Navigate to Job Data > Work Order card
3. Edit the Workorder > Change End Date > Save
4. Error occurs "Your changes could not be saved due to the following error while processing the work order <> with start date <>: Employment Information : Concurrent employment for contingent workers needs to be enabled to import the record for the following person ID: <>"

This error: "Concurrent employment for contingent workers needs to be enabled to import the record for the following person" is caused when user multiple contingent workers profiles but New Work Order Requires New Employment in upgrade center is not enabled. This is a new validation for Centralized Services for Work Order introduced in 1H 2026:

NOTE: After 1H 2026 a bug disabled the New Work Order Requires New Employment in upgrade center.

In case you had 'New Work Order Requires New Employment' enabled prior 1H Release:

• If the 'New Work Order Requires New Employment' feature was enabled before please note that the cause of this is fixed now via 1H 2026 patch scheduled on 28th April 2026 in Preview and 15th May 2026 in Production environments.
• As a next step, Navigate to Upgrade Centre > click on 'New Work Order Requires New Employment ' > Click on Upgrade
• Once upgraded, the error will be resolved.

To help verify if the feature was enabled before , please follow the steps:

1. Go to 'Change Audit Reports'
2. Select the 'Create Configuration Data Report Tab'
3. Select the 'Other Configuration Changes' tile
4. Run the audit report for April 2026 and May 2026
5. Download the results and check if the feature 'ECT_CWK_MULTI_EMPLOYMENT' or 'Enable Multiple Employment For Contingent Workers' were updated/disabled during any of the months.

In case you do not have 'New Work Order Requires New Employment' enabled prior 1H Release:

In case the feature was disabled prior release and you intend to not have this feature then data needs to be corrected:

1. Purge one of contingent workers profile
2. Rehire afterwards in same existing profile
