3759781 - Special Character Encoding Issues in Release Center Comments – SAP SuccessFactors 1H2026

Symptom

Special characters are being encoded in the comment section of the features in Release Center.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Release Center
  2. Click the navigation arrow for any of the available features
  3. Under the comment section, type anything with the special characters, ', ", &.
  4. The comment is posted with encoded characters: 
    • "hello" becomes "hello"

Resolution

This issue has been confirmed as a defect introduced with the 1H 2026 release.

A software fix was deployed on May 5th to address the problem.
