3759789 - ASM login fails After SSO in Accelerator Storefront after upgrading to SAP Commerce Cloud 2211-JDK21

Symptom

After upgrading to SAP Commerce Cloud 2211 (JDK 21 / Spring Security 6) in an Accelerator Storefront environment using SAML SSO and ASM (Assisted Service Module), the following behavior is observed:

  • SSO login completes successfully:
    • SAML response is received and processed
  • However:
    • User is not recognized as authenticated after redirect
    • ASM does not activate
    • User behaves as anonymous in subsequent requests

Typical observations:

  • ASM login page appears but does not retain agent session
  • Customer emulation cannot be started
  • No errors during SAML processing
