3759987 - Rating field is not set as read only via business rule

• Configure a business rule to set a rating field as read-only, but the rule does not function as expected if the rating scale is displayed as a dropdown. 
• The rating field remains editable on the main table view, while it is read only on the side panel.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management 1H 2026

1. Configure a business rule to set a rating field (e.g., Official Rating in the Goal section) to read-only at certain condition.
2. The scale of the rating field is in dropdown format.
3. Open the form and satisfy the condition defined in the business rule.
4. Observe that the rating field remains editable on the main table view.
5. Click open the item, on the side panel observe that the field is correctly set as read-only.

This is a Known Issue.

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.

Workaround

• Configure field-level permissions directly in the form template to control the read-only behavior of the rating field.
• Or, Use star or circle format for the rating scale, as the issue does not occur for this format. Refer to KBA 2078723 on how to avoid the rating scale to be displayed in dropdown format.
