Symptom
When opening the Quick Create (QC) screen for any object (for example Opportunity), a line is shown above half the fields in the screen. It is desired to know if this line can be edited or removed.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Sales > Opportunities
- Click on plus (+) button to create new Opportunity.
- A half line is displayed below the buttons in the screen.
Resolution
A horizontal separator line is displayed above part of the fields on the Quick Create screen for Opportunities (and other business objects) whenever one or more standard or custom buttons are enabled (e.g., Actions menu, Check for Duplicates). The line serves as a visual separator between the buttons and the fields. When no buttons are present, the line is not displayed.
The Quick Create screen in C4C uses a two-column responsive grid, where each column renders its own sequence of field groups independently. The separator line is drawn per column to indicate the start of a new group within that specific column. As a result, the line does not span the full width of the screen, since group alignment across columns is not handled automatically by the system.
This behavior is part of the standard system design. Modification of the line’s appearance, such as removing it or extending it to full width, is not supported and cannot be adjusted by configuration.
As an alternative, for Opportunities, Sales Quote and Tickets creation process can be switched from the Quick Create screen to the Detail Create view. This way there won't be any separator line.
For Opportunity and Sales Quote this can be enabled by navigating to:
- Administrator > Sales and Campaign Settings.
- Click on Opportunity Configuration or Sales Quote Configuration.
- Activate the toggle button for "Create Opportunities in detail view".
- Save and refresh the page.
For Tickets, please follow:
- Go to Administrator > Service and Social
- Click on Ticket Configuration.
- Enable button "Create tickets in detail view".
- Save and refresh the page.
Beyond this option, no further workarounds are available, and the separator line will continue to appear whenever buttons are enabled in the Quick Create screen.
