3760304 - Post instance refresh code: PLA_IDENTITY_IRT_OVERALL_MS_SYNC_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR

Error encountered post instance refresh:

• Syncing of Super Admins to SAP SuccessFactors Learning has failed due to an internal error during the Instance Refresh process. For further assistance, please contact Technical Support. (Code: PLA_IDENTITY_IRT_OVERALL_MS_SYNC_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR)

1. Schedule and run an instance refresh using the Instance Refresh Tool, making sure to include the 'SAP SuccessFactors Learning' as a product to be refreshed >
2. After the refresh, download the Instance Refresh log file >

Review the logs and observe that the refresh completed with the warning: Syncing of Super Admins to SAP SuccessFactors Learning has failed due to an internal error during the Instance Refresh process. For further assistance, please contact Technical Support. (Code: PLA_IDENTITY_IRT_OVERALL_MS_SYNC_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR)

As per our Engineering team, the warning 'PLA_IDENTITY_IRT_OVERALL_MS_SYNC_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR' is related to a post refresh activity that wasn't executed by the Instance Refresh tool. However, the Learning refresh has been completed successfully. That is, the instance refresh activity itself is not affected at all — only the warning message is observed post refresh.

Our Engineering team has developed a code correction to include the necessary post refresh activity to the job. After the fix, the Instance Refresh tool should no longer throw this warning message.

The patch to apply the fix is tentatively scheduled to be applied within the b2605p9 release version as per the schedule available at Patches Knowledge Base | SAP Community.

After the fix gets applied, no new refresh is necessary. The only action to be taken is to navigate to Admin Center > Manage Super Admin Access > at the 'Resync all super admin users to Learning' section, click on 'Sync' or 'Resync' button (this activity will resync the super admins from BizX to LMS).
