3761219 - Output request is not available for object 'BILLING_DOCUMENT'” when displaying Project Billing Document Request (PBDR)

Symptom

When attempting to display or access the output of a Project Billing Document Request (PBDR), the system raises the following error:  Output request is not available for object "BILLING_DOCUMENT", with object key "<Document Number>"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

1. Open the application: Manage Billing Documents

2. Search for the number of the Project Billing Document Request

3. Click on Display Output Request

The following error is going to appear: Output request is not available for object "BILLING_DOCUMENT", with object key "<Document Number>"

Cause

A PBDR is not a final billing document but only a request document serving as a basis for the actual billing document (such as Preliminary Billing Document or Billing Document).

Resolution

The behavior occurs because Project Billing Document Request (PBDR) does not support output processing.

Output is only available for the actual billing documents (e.g. Preliminary Billing Document or Billing Document), not for the Project Billing Document Request
