Symptom

Customer is looking for Payment Medium Format PAIN.001.001.09 for certain countries like RO - Romania that is not provided by SAP.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Cause

Custom Format creation is required.

Resolution

  • All trees from the V9 hierarchy are children (copies) of the parent tree CGI_CT_V9.
  • If V9 tree is required for a country which SAP does not provide, customer can copy directly the CGI_CT_V9 tree - this is a generic tree without country-specific modifications.
  • It's similar with CGI_DD_V8 in case customer require direct debit.
