Symptom
In latest people profile, Compensation Information displays an Amount value for percentage pay components.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Compensation Information
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the user’s People Profile.
- Select the Compensation category.
- Open “View All” of the Compensation card.
- Observe that a calculated Amount is displayed for a pay component of type percentage.
Cause
- Latest People Profile displays a calculated Amount for percentage pay components; this field is system-defined and its visibility cannot be controlled or targeted by rules.
- The Amount is calculated based on the Base Pay Component Group configured for the percentage pay component; if that group contains only a subset (for example, a single pay component), the Amount reflects only that subset.
Resolution
- Amount for percentage pay components is auto-calculated and displayed in Latest People Profile; there is no separate field to hide/control it, and no business rules can be applied to it.
- Review the Base Pay Component Group assigned to the percentage pay component and update it to a Pay Component Group that includes all relevant pay components so the displayed Amount aligns with your calculation logic.
- We cannot have custom calculation logic for amount field.
- If updating the existing percentage pay component across many records is not feasible, create a new percentage Pay Component with the correct Base Pay Component Group and use it going forward, migrating data as appropriate for your process.
- If you need configurability for field order or visibility beyond current capabilities, submit an enhancement request
