3761525 - BTP destination authentication failure during Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) connection

Symptom

  • In the Fiori app “Monitor Communication Systems”, running “Check Connection” for a communication system returns an authentication failure for the AFC BTP destination.
  • Error includes the text: “The authentication for destination failed. In the SAP BTP cockpit, open the destination and ensure that the relevant fields for authentication strategy are maintained correctly. The error message provided by the SAP BTP Destination service is: [object Object].”
