Symptom
An external user does not see the learning administration link, while other users appear to have access.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Sign in to LMS Administration with an admin/support account.
- Open the affected user's record.
- Confirm the user is designated as external and that an administrator record exists and is unlocked.
- Sign in as the user and access the Learning site.
- Observe that the Learning Administration link is not displayed for the user.
Cause
This is expected system behavior.
Resolution
- External users can only view the Learning page and do not have access to Learning Administration. Only internal users are permitted to access Learning Administration.
- If Learning Administration access is required, use an internal user account with appropriate permissions.
- Alternatively, convert the user to an internal user according to your organization's process and grant the necessary administrator permissions, then to view Learning Administration page.
