3761787 - Canvas Report Usage Statistics in Story Reports

Symptom

As of 1st June 2026, the Canvas Report Usage Reporting feature (AYT-15186) is automatically enabled for all instances.

However, users attempting to access the "Report Usage Statistics" for "Canvas reports", do not find it under "Available Data" of Story Reports 

  • The Canvas Report Details table does not appear in Story reports.

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
    • Story Reports
      •     Data Modelling 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Reporting
  2. Create a new Story 
  3. Choose the Reporting Connection 
  4. Under Available Data, look for "Canvas Report Details" table under the "Reporting Usage Data"
  5. The table "Canvas Report Details" might not appear 

Cause

While the Canvas Report Usage Reporting feature has been successfully enabled after the 1H 2026 release, on 1st June 2026, the underlying metadata refresh process is experiencing high latency. This prevents the Reporting Usage Data schema and the Canvas Report Details table from being populated or updated in a timely manner for Story reports.

This is a known technical issue currently under active investigation by the SAP SuccessFactors Engineering team. 

Resolution

Engineering Fix Timeline: The SAP SuccessFactors Engineering team is actively working on resolving the metadata refresh latency issue. The fix is scheduled to be deployed by the weekend of June 13–14, 2026.

The issue is expected to be permanently resolved, and the Report Usage Statistics for Canvas reports should be fully available starting June 15, 2026.

Recommended Action for Support Engineers: If the customer reports urgency in accessing Report Usage Statistics for Canvas reports before the permanent fix is deployed, Support can perform a manual metadata refresh as an interim workaround
