Symptom
Users receive a warning pop‑up when opening the same Performance Management (PM) form in multiple tabs within the same browser session.
Warning message displayed:
Environment
Product: SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals
Reproducing the Issue
The warning appears under the following scenario:
- Opening the same PM form in two.
- More tabs in the same browser session.
Cause
This is expected behavior introduced in the 2H 2022 release.
PM forms use session‑specific tokens. When the same form is opened in multiple tabs in the same browser, the system detects multiple active sessions and triggers the warning to prevent data conflicts.
Additionally, SuccessFactors does not support accessing two different tenants on the same data center using the same browser session. This restriction also applies to the Provisioning environment.
Resolution
1. Avoid starting a new application session in another tab of the same browser while working on a PM form.
Opening additional sessions can cause token conflicts and trigger the warning message.
2. If multiple PM forms must be open at the same time, duplicate the existing tab so all forms remain within the same authenticated session.
This ensures the session token is shared and prevents intermixing.
3. Save any changes on the form before opening any additional session to avoid losing unsaved data.
4. If the session logs out or the confirmation popup continues to load, re‑login, ensure only one active session is open in the browser, and then submit the form again.
