3761981 - Under stories, the story conversion tab is missing in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • Missing "Story Conversion" tab.
  • Users are not able to able to see the tab: "Story Conversion" in Stories, in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.6

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Select: Stories.
  3. Observe that the “Story Conversion” tab is missing.

Cause

  • The "Story Conversion" tab will not display when:
    • There are no classic stories to convert; or
    • The users does not have enough rights; or
    • It is an SAC OEM environment.  ( This feature is not available )

Resolution

  1. Verify whether any classic stories currently exist:
    1. Go to System Overview > Content > BI
    2. For the Content filter, select: "Classic Story"
    3. If no items are listed, there are no classic stories to convert and the absence of the “Story Conversion” tab is expected.
        
  2. If classic stories do exist but the tab is still missing for the user, then add rights to the users:
    1. Go to Security > Users
    2. Add the BI Admin role to the users.
