3761994 - IBP-SAC Integration: certificate-based authentication not supported for OData API

Symptom

  • Users attempt to establish a connection between IBP and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) using a client certificate (e.g: x.509).
  • Clarification is requested on whether the client certificate should be provided by SAC or IBP and where to obtain it.
  • Previously, the connection worked with username/password; during setup for another planning area, a password error occurred, which was later resolved by updating the password. Users now want to switch to certificate-based authentication for future use.
  • Error observed in sac: "Couldn't create ASR1Query job".
