Import of alternative cost distribution fails with error "The total of the percentages for all cost centres must not be greater than 100%" even when the file total is 100% or less.

1. Open Import and Export Data.
2. Prepare an import file to update an existing Alternative Cost Distribution record.
3. Run Validate/Import and observe the failure: "The total of the percentages for all cost centers must not be greater than 100%".

The import was executed with Purge Type = Incremental Load, which adds the incoming distribution items to the existing items, causing the total to exceed 100% for the effective record.

1. Open Import and Export Data and select the Alternative Cost Distribution entity.
2. Upload the file prepared to replace the existing distribution for the same effective date.
3. In import settings, select Purge Type = Full Purge (to replace existing distribution items rather than add to them).
4. Run Validate to confirm no percentage total exceeds 100% for any effective-dated record.
5. Run Import.
6. Verify the employee’s Alternative Cost Distribution that the total of all cost centers per effective record is 100% or less.
7. If needed, adjust the file to ensure per-record totals do not exceed 100% and re-import with Full Purge.
