Symptom

  • SUM phase PREP_PRE_CHECK/DBCHK_PRE stops when running SAPuptool dbversion.
  • Error: “DBSL error 29 (db code -55555): Connect failed”.
  • Logs show: “DbSlConnectDB6: unable to open file: '...dscdb6.conf'”.
  • Logs may show: “DbSlConnectDB6: can’t find user '…' in '…dscdb6.conf'”.
  • Exit information: “SAPuptool exited with 20” / “Process terminated with status 20”.
  • Phase reported as terminated with severe errors.
