3762626 - Cannot get JWT token during BAS migration to Identity Authentication Service — Error: "Error Occurred when checking if token exchange is needed, or when performing the token exchange"

 When migrating SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) from XSUAA to the Identity Authentication Service (IAS), the first step in the migration guide — retrieving a JWT token via GET /jwt — fails. The browser displays an HTTP 500 response together with the following error message:

   "Error Occurred when checking if token exchange is needed, or when performing the token exchange."

  As a result, the migration cannot proceed beyond the JWT retrieval step.
