Symptom
The delayed execution in our process changed by one hour due to the winter & summer time change in our time zone.
Environment
- Product: SAP Signavio Process Governance
- Approval Workflow for SAP Signavio
Reproducing the Issue
- Configure a workflow step that waits a fixed duration (for example, 10 days) after the previous task ends.
- Ensure the waiting period spans a daylight saving time switch from winter to summer time
- Observe that the created task starts one hour later than the expected local time
Resolution
The system processes and schedules internally in UTC. When a fixed wait duration crosses a daylight saving time change, the resulting local start time can shift by one hour.
