Symptom
When changing the Ship-To Party country in a sales order, the first modification is successful. However, changing the country a second time fails.
Example:
NOTE: In this article, the condition type ATX1 where country AU has domestic tax code 090 with 10% tax, and country DE has export tax code 110 with 0% tax is considered. The countries, tax codes, and percentages used in this article serve as examples to illustrate the behavior. This issue applies globally to any similar country-switching scenario where countries, tax codes, and percentages may differ.
- Initial Setup: The Sales Order is created with AU as the initial Ship-To party country. Domestic tax (TTX2 - 090: 10%) applies correctly.
- First Change (AU --> DE): Tax is successfully re-determined. Export tax (110-TTX2: 0%) applies correctly.
- Second Change (DE --> AU): The system prompts that the tax is re-determined, but the tax is not re-determined correctly. The tax remains stuck on the old export tax (110-TTX2 / 0%).
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
-
- Verify that domestic tax (TTX2 - 090 / 10%) is correctly determined under ATX1.
- Change the Ship-To party country from AU to DE under the "Partner" tab in the header.
- Verify that export tax (110-TTX2 / 0%) is correctly determined under ATX1.
- Change the Ship-To party country back from DE to AU.
- The system prompts stating that taxes are being re-determined.
- Check the pricing conditions. Notice the tax is still stuck on export tax (110-TTX2 / 0%) and the destination country still shows DE.
