3763034 - SAC : Copy/Paste error in SAC input forms

• When trying to perform Copy/Paste operations within SAC input forms: Error occurs "Pasting failed due to technical error". 
  We can read in Console :
  ClipboardReadWrite permission had been blocked 
  

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.2.x 

1. Open the SAC input form and select correct filters in input controls
2.  Try to:
   a. Copy paste a value from other cells into an inputable field
   b. Drag the selected cell to extend the value into the neighbouring cells
3.  The following error pops up and no values are entered: "Pasting failed due to technical error".

The issue would come from Clipboard option for features like keeping the formatting of text you copied.

Check the option which will allow you to use copy/paste features from clipboard, otherwise, by default, the web browser does not allow you to perform the copy/paste features from clipboard.

From your Chrome Web browser settings :
1. From Chrome, open "Settings">"Privacy and Security" > "Site settings" > Permissions > Additional permissions > Clipboard
(chrome://settings/content/clipboard)

2. For "Default behavior", check that the option "Sites can ask to see text and images on your clipboard" is selected. (Check also if there is specific sites listed as "Customized behaviors" for clipboard which would not allow you to perform these actions from clipboard)

From Edge settings browser settings :

1. From Edge, open "Settings">  "Privacy, search, and services" > "Site permissions" > "All permissions" > "Clipboard"

2. For "Default behavior", check that the option "Ask when a site wants to see text and images copied to the clipboard (recommended)" is turn "ON"
(Check also if there is specific sites listed as "Customized behaviors" for clipboard which would not allow you to perform these actions from clipboard and add your SAC tenant to "Allowed to see your clipboard")
