3763312 - Error Releasing Production Order with Batch Determination in application "Manage Production Order" in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When attempting to release a production order in the application "Manage Production Order" with automatic batch determination active, the system displays the error message: “1 of 1 order could not be released. See error log for more details”.

1. Open the "Manage Production Orders" application.
2. Select a production order where automatic batch determination is configured to run during release.
3. Attempt to release the production order.
4. Observe that the release is not completed in the app, whereas releasing the same order via a classic transaction CO02(Change production order) is possible.

Configuration of the Batch Assignment field in the activity/SSCUI “Define Checking Control” (ID 102447) prevents release when batch determination does not assign batches.

1. Review the configuration in SSCUI “Define Checking Control” (ID 102447) for the relevant plant and order type.
2. Set the Batch Assignment field to value 2 (Release Despite Missing Batches) to allow release even if batch determination fails to assign batches.
3. If the Batch Assignment field is not available, create a new Checking Control entry with batch control enabled so that Batch Assignment becomes available, then set it to 2.
4. Save the configuration and retest releasing the production order in the Manage Production Orders app.
