3763548 - Business role(s) missing in Maintain Business Roles app after successful software collection import – S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Business role(s) are missing from the Maintain Business Roles app in target system after a successful import of the corresponding software collection.
• Import Collection app shows warnings such as: "Value WWW in Field XXX Restriction Type YYY in Business Role ZZZ is not valid"
• Import Collection app shows "Business Role ZZZ skipped due to data inconsistencies".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Export a software collection that includes one or more business roles from the source system.
2. Import the collection into the target system.
3. Open the Import Collection app the status of the collection is Imported.
4. Open the Maintain Business Roles app, the affected business role(s) are missing.

The business role import is skipped due to inconsistent restriction values. Specific values maintained in role's restriction field in source system are not valid in the target system (not available in the target system’s value help for the restriction field).

1. In the source system, open each affected business role.
2. Go to the role’s Restrictions and locate Fields mentioned in the warning message.
3. Remove any restriction values that are not available in the target system’s value help.
4. Save the corrected business role(s).
5. Create a new version of the software collection including the corrected roles.
6. Export the collection from the source system and import it into the target system.
7. After import, verify in the Maintain Business Roles app that the role(s) are now available.
