3763550 - Pending E-Verify Task Remains After Candidate Is Employment Authorized - Onboarding

The candidate's I-9 and E-Verify processes have been successfully completed, and the candidate displays the status EMPLOYMENT_AUTHORIZED. However, a compliance task remains pending in the onboarding dashboard.

Additional observations:

• Selecting the pending task either does nothing or displays the following error: The E-Verify case is closed. The final status for PERSON is EMPLOYMENT_AUTHORIZED.
• Selecting E-Verify Case Details and clicking Refresh Data does not synchronize the status or remove the pending task.
• The task remains in a pending state despite the E-Verify case being completed.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

• Complete the I-9 and E-Verify process for a candidate.
• Navigate to the onboarding dashboard.
• Observe that a compliance task remains pending.
• Attempt to open the task.
  • No action occurs, or an error message is displayed: The E-Verify case is closed. The final status for PERSON is EMPLOYMENT_AUTHORIZED.
• Open E-Verify Case Details.
• Click Refresh Data to attempt synchronization.
• Confirm that the task remains pending.

A system glitch created a duplicate compliance task. Although the E-Verify case reached a final status of EMPLOYMENT_AUTHORIZED, the duplicate task remained in an In Progress state and was not automatically completed.

1. Navigate to Manage Data.
2. Search for Compliance Process Task (search using the candidate's ID.
3. Identify the task corresponding to the pending onboarding task (the task status will typically be In Progress) > Copy the Task ID.
4. Navigate to Process User Task > Search using the copied Task ID.
5. Update the status of both: Compliance Process Task & Process User Task from In Progress to Completed.
6. Save the changes.

Once both records are manually updated to Completed, the duplicate pending task is closed from the onboarding dashboard and the candidate's onboarding process is correctly reflected as complete.
