3763561 - Schedule General Ledger Jobs - Automatic Clearing error "An error occurred. Please create an incident on component 'FI-GL'."

• When using the job template "Automatic Clearing" in the Schedule General Ledger Jobs app the error message  "An error occurred. Please create an incident on component 'FI-GL'." is maintained in the application logs.
• It is not clear what the real error message is and there is no corresponding runtime errors in the "ABAP Runtime Errors" app. 
• The error can occur when maintaining Clearing Currency as an input parameter in the Automatic Clearing job template.

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

1. Schedule General Ledger Jobs.
2. Job Template "Automatic Clearing".
3. Maintain the input parameters for which the job template should run.
4. Schedule.
5. In the error log "An error occurred. Please create an incident on component 'FI-GL'."

The was an error during processing that could not be captured in the application log, the real error can be checked in the "Clear Open Items - Automatic Clearing" app.

1. Open app "Clear Open Items - Automatic Clearing" 
2. Insert the same input parameters as the job template. 
3. All Selections option.
4. Include Clearing Currency.
5. Execute.
6. The real error message will be captured during processing for example SG105; "Enter rate & / & rate type & for & in the system settings".
7. To resolve error SG105 see; 3735206 - Error message SG105: "Enter rate Curr1/Curr2 and rate type M for DD/MM/YYYY in system settings"
