3763584 - Error: "Signature verification failed" when sending Plant master data to SAP Ariba Contracts via Managed Gateway for Spend&Network

Symptom

When I attempt to send Plant master data from my SAP S/4HANA system to SAP Ariba Contracts via Managed Gateway for Spend&Network (ISMG), I receive a "Signature verification failed" error. The error logs indicate that the system is routing the Plant data through the Master Data Native Integration (MDNI) flow, as evidenced by the destination URL containing ".../mdcs-ingress..." and the source document type MDNIPlantExport, instead of using the standard master data export flow.
