Symptom
After disabling Groupware synchronization for a user, previously synchronized Outlook appointments are still visible in the SAP C4C calendar.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to SAP C4C with a user that has Groupware synchronization enabled.
- Ensure mailbox synchronization is active and working.
- Verify that calendar appointments are being successfully synchronized from the mailbox into C4C.
- Go to Administration → Email and Appointment Settings → Groupware Settings.
- Select the user and disable Groupware synchronization.
- Save the changes.
- Initiate or wait for a subsequent synchronization cycle.
- Check the C4C calendar for the same user.
- Observe that previously synchronized appointments are still present in the C4C calendar.
- Confirm that only future synchronization is stopped, while existing entries remain unchanged.
Cause
This is the expected system behavior. Disabling Groupware synchronization stops future synchronization cycles from processing new or updated calendar entries. It does not trigger a retroactive removal of appointments that were already synchronized into C4C.
Resolution
Remove the existing appointments manually in C4C.
