3763831 - Future active legal entity data not found in business rule

Symptom

  • There is a legal entity data that will become active on 1/1/2027.
  • This legal entity is not found in the business rule, even though the rule's effective date is set to 1/1/2027.  

Environment

SAP Successfactors Employee Central

  • Business Rule

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a legal entity data that will become active on 1/1/2027.
  2. Set the effective date of the business rule to 1/1/2027.
  3. Attempt to locate the legal entity in the business rule. 

Cause

This is a known limitation.

Resolution

There is no plan to fix this yet.

Please use below workaround to solve the issue.

  1. Create a future active legal entity data F.
  2. Create a business rule, choose Legal Entity C when checking Legal Entity
  3. Go to Import and Export data to Export "Rule" data
  4. Locate the rule created in step 3 and replace Legal Entity C with Legal Entity F.  
  5. Go to Import and Export data to import the modified rule.

This workaround applies to other object as well.
