3764021 - dat file is not generated with "shared directory" transfer method – SAP Data Services

Symptom

  • Data Services ABAP workflow/dataflow job fails with error code FIL-080105.
  • Error text includes: “The row delimiter should be seen after <5> columns. Check the file for bad data, or redefine the input schema for the file by editing the file format in the UI.”
  • The issue occurs when using the “shared directory” transfer method in the ABAP dataflow.
  • The expected .dat extract file is not generated in the shared directory.
  • An ABAP program file with a similar name may be present while the .dat file is missing.
  • The RFC transfer method can work while the shared directory method fails with FIL-080105.
