Symptom
- After the latest release, when updating a Work Order via Take Action, the 'Last Modified Date' is updated only on the future-dated ECWK record.
- The current SCWK record is no longer updated with a new 'Last Modified Date'.
- No error message is shown.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Contingent Workforce
Reproducing the Issue
- Open a contingent worker profile with SCWK and ECWK records in Job Information.
- Choose Take Action > Edit Work Order Information.
- Extend the Work Order end date and save.
- Observe that:
- ECWK reflects the new end date and an updated 'Last Modified Date', and 'Last Modified Source' may be populated.
- The current SCWK record does not receive an updated 'Last Modified Date'.
Cause
Expected behaviour. This is because this transaction is now supported by centralised services and End Date Correction is not to update the last modified information of the records for which the end date is being corrected (and no other changes are made to the record).
Resolution
- For an effective-dated entity, when you insert a new record, the end date of the previous record is automatically set to the day before the effective start date of the new record. And the new record is automatically assigned an end date of 12-31-9999.
- However, the Last Modified Date changes only when the record is edited (through UI or Import).
