3764053 - Cloud Integration jdbc insert into Oracle database fails when column value exceeds 4000 characters

Symptom

  • An error occurs when SAP Cloud Integration attempts to insert data into Oracle Database for any column that exceeds 4000 characters.
  • The column named XML in the database expects the entire source XML to be passed; when the data is longer than 4000 characters, the insertion fails in Cloud Integration.
  • You get "com.sap.it.rt.adapter.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCException: Root Cause: - PreparedStatementCallback; bad SQL grammar []; nested exception is java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01704: string literal too long - ORA-01704: string literal too long : org.springframework.jdbc.BadSqlGrammarException: PreparedStatementCallback; bad SQL grammar []; nested exception is java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01704: string literal too long , cause: Error : 1704, Position : <>.."
