3764217 - Schedule Publications failing for story based on SAP Datasphere live connection in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Schedule publications does not work for stories using SAP Datasphere live connection.
• Stories based on the same live connection can be viewed successfully.
• Scheduling works for stories based on acquired data models.
• When scheduling a publication on stories based on SAP Datasphere Live Connection, the following errors appears:
  
  "The publication failed due an error.
    Info: You weren’t logged on to the remote data source automatically. Please ask your administrator to verify the SAML Single Sign-On configuration for the connection.
    Info: The story contains some unsupported connections for scheduling. Please check the connection.
    The publication could not be delivered because the publication generation was unsuccessful."

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.6

1. Log in to SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Create a story based on an SAP Datasphere live connection.
3. Schedule a publication for the story.
4. Observe that the publication fails and is not delivered.

• The Publication fails because the SAP Datasphere live connection is configured with the connection type: Direct, which is unsupported for scheduled publications. It requires a Tunnel connection.

• To schedule a publication based on SAP Datasphere live connection, change the SAP Datasphere live connection type in SAP Analytics Cloud from Direct to Tunnel.
