Symptom

  • Starting or previewing the generated extension project fails.
  • Error message: "The UI5 CLI version of the project is outdated. Please upgrade your project to UI5 CLI v4: https://ui5.github.io/cli/v4/updates/migrate-v4/."
  • In some environments, attempting to update locally may show: "npm error Invalid Version" when running "npm i --save-dev @ui5/cli@latest".
